Used this on a small office move to verify Cat5e patch runs and it picked up a crossed pair straight away. The remote unit is the feature that made the job much quicker.
Arrived quickly from the UK and feels like a proper trade tool rather than a cheap import. I bought it mainly as an RJ11 cable tester for phone extensions, but it has already helped with two RJ45 data faults as well.
I support a mixed estate of data and legacy voice cabling and needed one tester for both. The LED wire map is clear, and the unit has been reliable on Cat6 patch leads and RJ12 handset wiring.
Very good for continuity checks and miswire detection on installed LAN runs. My only minor criticism is that a backlight would help in darker riser cupboards, but functionally it does exactly what I need.
